winter wonderland

So in NZ winter is starting to set in and that only means one thing for your skin!

WELCOME DRYNESS!

Never fear!

Here are some simple remedies:

  • CLEANSE WITH HONEY – not only will this add more moisture into your skin with it will lock in any that is already present on your skin!
  • REMOVE MAKE UP WITH OIL- more moisture while cleansing? that’s right! oil is the way to go on this ladies!
  • MOISTURISE WITH VITAMIN E OIL OR A SERUM OF SOME SORT – this will really help to penetrate all the levels of the skin to gain great moisturise and lock it in for as long as this change passes
  • Lastly, AVOID DRYING MASKS – these include clay masks, citrus masks, and any mask that is sure to feel tight after the first 15-20 mins. Instead, try plain honey or milk/yoghurt

Try these tips and have great skin for the new season πŸ™‚

These are great inexpensive ideas that are sure to work!

Have fun and good luck πŸ™‚

Long weekend is around the corner….

Why not spare a little time and do a DIY treat for yourself or in a group?!?!

SPECIAL WEEKEND FACIAL:

  • CLEANSE with your daily facewash OR honey
  • BRIGHTEN AND LIGHTEN with a light spread of plain yoghurt or splash of milk (leave on face for 10 mins)
  • EXFOLIATE with baking soda for a mini microdermabrasion and get rid of scarring

  • TONE with a tea sprits toner (the video on how to make this is on Face page)

Happy new week!

Another week beginning and its time for the weekly suggestions update:

This week is all about your skin care routine!

Start small.

Make sure of 2 things at least:

1. Cleanse

2. Moisturize

Morning and night please ladies!

The dirt from the day and oils from the night will create bacteria and this is why it is so important.

Intermediate:

1. Cleanse

2. Tone

3. Moisturize

4. Sun protection

5. Exfoliate once a week

Why>>

  • Toning closes pores after washing and takes off any extra/excess dirt from the skin
  • Sun protection delays aging and skin pigmentation
  • exfoliating helps with skin cell turnover, blood circulation and helps get rid of skin imperfections (acne, blemishes, scarring, blackheads)

Experts:

1. Cleanse

2. Tone

3. Moisturize

4. Sun protection

5. Exfoliate once a week

6. Mask once a month

>> as well as this, some may like microdermabrasions (great for clearing scars, blemishes and creates an amazing natural glow to your skin)

Which stage are you on?

Can you improve?

Is there skin specific questions you have?

Comment and let me know!
